Taste The World
For my Design III class’ final project, we were instructed to design absolutely anything as long as it includes a 2D, 3D, and media component.
After reminiscing on childhood snacks with my roommate (such as the large variety of chips available in Hong Kong), I decided to take on a branding project for a line of chips consisting of exciting and distinctive flavors from around the world. The five flavors I came up with include: Greek Tzatziki, Canadian Poutine, Tokyo Umami, Spanish Jamón Ibérico, and Korean Barbecue.
For the 3D component, I chose to use more of a Japanese graphic design approach in packaging design - clean, minimalistic but still playful. As for the 2D component, I tried to emulate vintage travel posters while adding a humorous twist by making the chips a part of the scenery. Due to time constraints, I was only able to make a poster for the Japanese chip flavor. Lastly, for the media component, I made a promotional video that would be uploaded onto the brand’s social media platforms.
Enjoy!
