Leftover Women: Mock Campaign
This is a graphic made for a mock campaign for a communication class taken abroad in London, Designing Media and Communication Projects for Social Change.
My group and I chose to tackle the issue of "leftover women" in China, a situation where women who remain unmarried past the age of 27 are shamed by family and society. This graphic is a bold approach in tackling the issue with women pointing their ring finger showing that married and unmarried women are the same, and one is no better than the other. The slogan is a play on Chinese words, persuading society to replace the derogatory term, "leftover women" with "thriving women".
